I’ve decided to turn this blog to English. To reach a larger public and to be able to take in worldwide topics. Like the Church of Scientology. I think about everyone knows what it’s about and if not, you can read Wikipedia’s article on it – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology.

I want to bring this up because although lots of people laugh at this organisation. South Park did a very funny episode about it and there are many sites over the internet mocking and spreading comedy about this self-proclaimed religion. To be honest, I can’t stop laughing at their ideas of Evil Space Overlords and alien spirits causing humanity’s problems. I was shocked though to read that beside taking a lot of money in from their followers, they are also violating human rights.

“You are a nazi”, “go back to your leaders”, “did you take a day off from beating your wife?” and more is yelled to protestors. An organisation – or religion in their words – that claims to be spreading love having people shouting such things to people questioning their ways, seems rather hypocrite to me.

FUNNY PART

First of all I’ll take you through some ridiculous stuff that Scientology is about. Online (http://www.oca.scientology.org/oca.php) you can fill in a personality test which will grade you in how good or bad a person you are. I did this test to see what it has to say and some questions made me raise a brow. For example: ” 6) Do you get occasional twitches of your muscles, when there is no logical reason for it?”. I mean, what the hell does this have to do with your personality? If you have twitches, go see a doctor about it. You’re not a good or bad person because of it. Something else I laughed about very hard was ” 9) Do you consider more money should be spent on social security?”. I’m really thinking they’d like us to say ‘no’ because they are the money sharks out there. I know covering all those questions would be very boring, but these ones I can’t leave out: ” 11) Is your voice monotonous, rather than varied in pitch?” or ” 27) Do you often sing or whistle just for the fun of it?”. I can already tell you it’s bad if you answer ‘yes’. I love singing and whistling because I’m a rather happy fellow, but to scientology, I’m bad. Now the next question isn’t all that funny to me: ” 14) Would the idea of inflicting pain on game, small animals or fish prevent you from hunting or fishing?”. Are they recruiting hunters? Yes, I do not fish or hunt because inflicting pain on others is wrong in my opinion. Well do the test for yourself, it’s about 200 questions large and is filled with questions you’ll answer ‘Duh’ at. No, I will advice you to quickly scroll through the questions rather than filling them out, cause after about half an hour of answering ridiculous questions, you get only an adress of a nearby ‘Chruch’ to get your results at. There they wil probably test how much fears and problems you have with something they call an e-meter and many call a toy.

UNFUNNY PART

Well, now that you had your share of laughs, you should also understand why nowadays people start to picket against Scientology. I’ve even once read someone stating they are an organisation much comparable to mafia. In a way they are.

* They do anything to get your money
* They hold people agaainst their will (with even known deaths as a result)
* They destroy families
* They violate human rights

And the list of why Scientology should not be as popular as it is keeps on going. Be sure to visit some websites and make up your own mind about it, but I strongly disagree to their ways.

On the other hand, I condemn all religion, no organised religion does any good to anyone. I can still see Muslims rioting against a cartoon or Christian priests being dismissed for being pedophiles. No religion keeps up it’s morals and ethics and too many people fall for the lies and betrayal. I rather walk around in life, experiencing as much as possible. I have my own opinion and will share this with everyone, only to try to see what others think about it.
